Wire Erosion

As one of the North East’s largest manufacturer of customer specific steel components, we offer over 50 years of engineering experience through its dedicated team of specialist engineers.  Our Sodick EDM wire erosion machines offer flexibility and can accommodate work pieces up to a maximum of 1500mm x 700mm depending on geometry.  We have the capacity to cut up to 175mm thick material to 0.003mm with the facility to cut tapers from 10 – 30 degrees.  Our EDM division offers round the clock sub contract wire erosion facilities.  With experience in general engineering, plastic injection moulding, press tooling and cold roll tooling they are able to fully support their customers’ requirements and where appropriate offer optimal solutions to specific customer applications.  We ensure our customers specifications are maintained by utilising the latest CMM equipment, providing surface size and shape accuracy to within 0.001mm.
